Lookit. I did not need Timothy McVeigh blowing up a building in Oklahoma to get me to care about the people who were killed at Waco and Ruby Ridge. I did not need the Unabomber blowing up college professors to get me to care about the environment. And I don't need bin Laden blowing up the WTC and the Pentagon to get me to care about the people in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Palestine. And I sure as heck don't need a bunch of overstuffed, stock-market-investing golf-playing white men beating their breasts going "woe, woe, woe" to raise my consciousness about Native Americans, abused children, and all the rest of sad, bleeding humanity. You guys have a lot of nerve if you think you need to raise anyone's consciousness but your own. A lot of nerve AND a lot of gall. Cast out the beam in your own eye before you seek to cast the mote out of your brother's eye.
