mr buchanan is only speaking to human nature. he is right, many americans aren't willing to die for strangers in far off lands. sure, most americans don't object to wars like the gulf war or kosovo because that means an air war where we drop bombs from above. but i bet america would question us fighting a foreign war where the draft was reinstated and mothers had to send their sons off to fight for the united nations.
