While I have not previously been a big fan of Tony Blair, I have been enormously impressed by his performance and his sense of moral certitude. One should never underestimate the strength of the bond between the U.S. and the British. Almost twenty years later, I am still stunned by the fact that Argentina actually thought that the U.S. would side with them against the British over the Falkland Islands. Big mistake on the part of Argentina. While I am technically of Danish-German descent, my cultural bonds are British. A pretty effective melting pot, at least as it relates to me.
