But the two powers, labor and management, ought to be something like equal. I'm not sure if I agree or not. It depends on what "exactly something like equal" would mean. I think labor unions can serve as a useful check against companies going to far but overall I think companies should be able to set their own policies as long as they are not actually abusive. A labor union can be a check against abuse. An even better check is competition for employees. Tim
