Osama look-alike creates a stir in Jaisalmer

16.46 IST 09th Oct 2001

By IndiaExpress Bureau

The sight of an Osama bin Laden look-alike moving in a vehicle created a big stir in Jaisalmer on Tuesday.

As soon as they were informed, the local police rushed to intercept the vehicle, a Tata Sumo, and took the ‘suspect’ sporting an open beard and a turban in the manner of Osama, to the police station.

Interrogation revealed that he was the son of an American firm employee. The bin Laden look-alike was let off then.

A big crowd gathered outside the police station, on hearing the rumor that the police had arrested Laden.

I just don't think they're that effective in the mountains.
Besides, I think one or two c5 transports full of bug juice would be a bigger exclamation point.
