re: QQQ top bearish by volume, engulfing reversal pattern

doesn't the bearish engulfing pattern need to open above the previous day's highs and close below the previous day's lows? The previous day's highs on the QQQ was about 32.30 and yesterday it opened at about 31.75. Just trying to get the definition of the bearish engulfing pattern straight.
