Israel Shahak, noted Israeli dissident Noted anti-Zionist and Judaism-hater crackpot, is closer to the mark. I noted the potshot at Joan Peter's From Time Immemorial. This book makes the electronicintifada people particularly bilious, as Joan Peters started as a sympathizer to the cause of Palestinian refugees, but after seven years of research into the Turkish and Arabic sources (her book is meticulously footnoted), she became convinced that they did not have the facts on their side, and she switched sides in the argument. Reviews of her book tend to fall into one of two camps 1) vile propaganda, or 2) excellent history, well researched.
