It's a well known fact that the U.S. does project this image of being selfish...

I keep hearing statements like this. When in reality, the US has been the most unselfish country the world has ever known. We have been the only country in the world that has been what God always wanted his nation to be... Hosts. Look at our import laws in direct comparison to the countries we trade with....extremely unselfish. Look at all we have given to the needy of the world...very unselfish. Look at every disaster that happens in the world....who comes running to help?...That fool!...the US! Even our present warfare is ridiculously criticised in having to be perfect...we can't kill a single civilian....meanwhile the enemy wipes out civilians left and right...heck...they wipe out their own civilians...and it's all our fault. I get tired of hearing it.
People have always attacked someone doing better and tried to bring them down. Criticising the US as being selfish is just another attack. If we were really selfish, we would have simply nuked Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq on the 12th. Then said any more problems and we'll nuke three more.
I know the US isn't perfect. I have many criticisms...But it's one helluva lot closer than any other country has ever even TRIED to become.
And my post wasn't intended ONLY at you. I am more generally disgusted at a few on here. The twins was not our own fault.
