Stan, Market direction will be determined by the direction of the war both at home and abroad. The economy hinges on no more major terrorist success here while we are tracking down bin laden. Thanksgiving will be a major turning point in consumer sentiment for christmas. If osama is in the dust "bin" of history by then and there is little or no terrorism in the US, i think americans will get over this event. I dont even want to contemplate the alternatives and i will not quote odds. I will just pray. mike
