Gee, first a ranting provocateur
I made a mistake here for which I apologize. My thinking was that if Mephisto had wanted to ban me, she certainly had it in her power to do so. That was incorrect. As I'm sure you know, if an alias has been used more than once on SI, a threadhead cannot his/herself ban that alias; they must get SI Admin to do it.

When I first used the alias my alias, I spelled it Lazerus Long. I created a moderated thread and banned myself with no problem. That was why I believed she should have no problem and was basically using me to drive her thread onto the hot list (which did.) However, along the way, I had changed my alias to the current Lazarus - and did not check for previous usages. There was one and consequently she had to wait for Admin Jeff to do the banning

and now an apologist.
Apologist? Meaning defender? OK. I'll accept that. I do believe that is an accurate description, though.

The Taliban now cries for innocents killed in Afghanistan. (Actually, I think that gives them too much credit; more like 'exploits their dead bodies for propaganda'.)
What of our 6000 American dead? They were also innocent. Innocent of everything except being American, that is. But in the Taliban's eyes, that is sufficient guilt to merit a death sentence. They themselves have said that.

Neither suit you.
Then what, in your opinion, does?
