My point was that American Indians came here and did not naturally occur here. I agree they were here first. So what. Someone probably lived in your house before you did -does that make it any less YOUR house. Regardless of ethnic background, ANYONE born here is a native American. Your view re "native American" and the timing of Spain's arrival in the new world is not so different than that of those who claim ancestors who arrived on the Mayflower or link their personal heritage to the Revolutionary War. Hey, if we can all figure out what group or tribe we were a part of 10,000 years ago, maybe we should report back to our home campfires at once.
