It is disturbing, but there are too many imponderables to be sure of how it will effect us. I am not sure that the current stagnation will persist, frankly. There was, in the States, a mini- boom a decade or so ago that had not been anticipated. Anyway, let us hope we can extend our culture more rapidly......
