Perhaps this is why Pakistan is helping us. Are we in bed with the devil?

Yes ... but only out of necessity ... that's why it's so important to watch their every move. They may stop being useful to us soon. During all that time when they were supposedly trying to get the Taliban to cooperate they were actually helping them come up with a defense strategy and supplying them with ammunition and weapons in preparation for U.S. strikes on Afghanistan.

<< Are we in bed with the devil? >>

I think we are seeing the beginning of a new Pakistan. Musharraf has tried to crack down on terrorist organizations in Pakistan, but it is very difficult. The terrorists in Pakistan have a lot of power.

Well........ with US support, Musharraf IS cracking down on the terrorists within Pakistan. The first step was the removal of extremist generals. Musharraf, so far, has successfully removed them from their positions, seemingly without a backlash. Hopefully, he will stay alive.

Musharraf also seems willing to reconcile with India. The fact that Musharraf has thrown in with the US, instead of siding with the Taliban speaks volumes!

"Musharraf also said he was willing to "go to any length" to build good ties with neighboring India and settle disputes between the two nuclear rivals."
