I wasn't paying full attention to the conference call. I can't definitively say that LRCX didn't provide guidance for the current Q. I didn't hear a precise Revenue or Earnings estimate. During the Q&A, Bagley did say that they built backlog for the Q reported and expect to do so again this Q.

The BtB > 1; and Bagley's thesis that the top 20 Chip companies aren't currently spending enough to remain competitive from a technology perspective strikes me as if the bottom for this sector may well be in the past rather than the future. I'd sure have a lot more confidence if the indicators came from AMAT rather than LRCX.
