The troop movements are reported along the ancient Krakoram Road to the Afghan-Pakistani border, through the Kulik Pass of Little Pamir, which is situated in one of the highest and most remote regions of the world.

There's supposed to be a high security Russian bunker up there (from the Afghan vs. Russia war days) where the Russians think bin Laden is hiding now. This news would seem to indicate they are fortifying the area with troops as well. This is going to get very difficult.

Lola:)

CobaltBlue,

This is the same piece CIMA posted last week that we discussed for a couple of days. Why are people reacting with surprise? IMO, it is bunk. Please read my post #reply-16474632.

BTW, I loved this disclaimer at the end of the Pravda article:

PRAVDA.Ru does not have any confirmation to that information. We hope that our correspondent in Beijing, Andrey Krushinsky will soon contact us to clarify the situation.

(coded messages in the newspaper...? -lol-)
