Terrorist attack improves changes of passage of concealed carry law says Governor:

The terrorist attacks last month could add a new dimension to a debate over a bill that would make it easier for Minnesotans to carry guns in public, Gov. Jesse Ventura said Monday. "It could be fairly high on the legislative agenda when they come back in February," Ventura said on KSTP-AM radio. "Right now I'm not hearing anything out of the gun control people after this attack. The gun control people are amazingly silent right now. They're not out there yelling and hollering to take everyone's guns away from them."

Only the Senate stood in the way of changes to the concealed-carry gun law last session. The changes would have limited discretion local police now have to deny permits and allowed most law-abiding, mentally competent adults who pass a background check and undergo training to get one.

Ventura supports loosening permit rules for non-criminals who complete gun-safety training and skills testing.

"You assume that people who own scores of guns are responsible people who keep their firearms under lock and key. I make no such assumption."

You assume they are dangerous and criminal with no justification or backing. You are too stupid to even understand why an anti-gun book that bases its assumptions on false informtion and LIES is wrong. How can you be taken seriously if you say that it is ok to lie to make your point, which otherwise is un-provable.

<<To answer your question, yes, it is my business, because people who own large quantities of guns/ammunition potentially could use such against innocent Americans. >>

Guns for mass murder? Geeze, box cutters seemed to kill one hell of a lot more people than even Charles Whitman in the Texas Tower. You better worry more about box cutters than guns. And yes, I have a box cutter and it's not registered.
