<<a country that has abandoned such concepts as probable cause and habeus corpus.>>

I am quite confident that Congress won't pass any laws that abandon the principle of 'probable cause'....Yet, our FBI doesn't currently even have the tools to do effective wire tapping of high risk suspects' cell phones (especially when they move from phone to phone). This has to change...In most European countries (and in Israel) the Law Enforcement Authorities have much more freedom to pursue high risk suspects.

Regards,

Scott

Fundamental Rights

I don't want to live, "securely" or otherwise, in a country that has abandoned such concepts as probable cause and habeus corpus.

Amen. Nor do I want to live, "securely" or otherwise, in a country that no longer extends First Amendment rights like freedom of speech and assembly to foreign nationals living in the U.S.
