heinz, do you have any thoughts on this new 4X margin crap for daytraders?? I am suspect, especially on the timing of it.
And, just 4 trades in a week, and a person is tagged a daytrader.
It seems to create a situation where they are enticing daytraders to deposit more money in their accounts so they can trade on margin.
It also seems to me, that they may be enticing daytraders to buy and/or sell more, maybe even increasing margin debt.
It could entice daytraders to average up or down on positions also, with so much leverage.
I ran some numbers through, it would be so easy to get wiped out, if someone over extended themselves with 4X margin.
Who needs it??
How is it protecting individuals??
I am suspect.
