I am curious to know how many people on this thread are using a ticket based commission versus a per share charge on their level 2 execution system. I have noticed that some companies are now offering retail traders a per share charge and I think that has to help quite a bit for many. The average cost per share after all fees really adds up if you multiply it by your monthly or yearly shares matched volume. In my retail trading days my effective cost was 4 cents a share after all ecn fees and ticket based commissions. Now it is about 1.x cent a share and it really results in a huge difference.

aldrums....all opinions are valid and worth stating...
the opinion I was expressing was that the was no "danger" in a negative opinion, as I always make up my own mind, as I feel most do.

Good luck
