No idea is more completely removed from purpose or need and would do NOTHING to make you safer, except in your mind. That's why.

As for going after the 2% harder, that's exactly what it DOES NOT DO! It goes after the 98%; the 2% don't give a rat's patutie.

Perhaps you can explain why longer waiting periods is a bad idea. I doubt it, but go ahead and try.
