Scott,

I hereby authorize you to collect all the best ideas from this thread and send them onto Gephardt's hard drive. I'm a bit doubtful about how much of letters to the Congressman/Senator actually get read, but I applaud any effort. You need not attribute any specific ideas, in my view, in fact, you can simply appropriate them for yourself and sign it.

(Btw, you can bet staff from the Senate, House, FBI and Justice are already doing this in memo after endless memo, and in more detail and better than we, although not nearly with as much humor).

Discussion about civil liberties, anti-terrorism, etc., surprisingly, has not included discussion of the violation of our rights as citizens to have secure borders and secure legal immigration process. The entire discussion about amnesty for millions who have come here illegally is a diminution of our rights as citizens. Additionally, without secure borders, what is the point?

Discussion has not focused on other domestic sources of terrorism. Many eco-terrorists have undertaken repeated acts of violence--destruction of logging equipment, scientific experiments at labs, release of mink from legal mink farms, etc. Nor has discussion focused on actions and ideology of anti-globalization protest leaders, anarchists, revolutionaries, etc.

Rhetoric of anti-globalization protests may be a prelude to actions that could have an even greater impact that WTC. Certainly hope not, but am surprised questions have not surfaced in thread.
