>>i believe there is a right way and a wrong way to do things and both should fight for their ideas.<< i didn't say one ought not fight for their ideas. i did say that i can't support personal attacks on others (creating an us vs them situation) to make a point. >>unfortunately you can hardly distinguish the difference between democrats and republicans these days<< there goal is the same, their means are just different. look at slick willie spending half a million on personal office space. guess helping the poor and needy is what EVERYONE ELSE ought to do. -ng- i've argued the republicans are more intellectually honest b/c they admit greed is good and then act like it. democrats act like greed is bad and then act greedy as all get out. wrt buchanan, i disagree with a lot of his ideas, but not his right to have them and express them. i lose respect for him when he attacks others personally for disagreeing as a fundamental part of his program. he would do better to continue to focus on the issues. apparently, that doesn't garner as big an audience... -ng- lots of folks feel "superior" by putting others down in their own minds.
