Hi Scott,

I made some buys in my 401k on 9/20........ got some RMBS, NEWP, JNPR & QCOM.............. They all went down after my purchase, but they all have rebounded quite nicely & are quite green with one exception........... QCOM is under water, but only by a few ¢ per share right now. Other than that, I've been pretty well beat up by the 9/11 terrorist act.

I've read your recent comments about QCOM. Although I don't agree about QCOM's near & long term prospects, I respect your POV about the company.

As for my thoughts about the direction of the NAZ in the next few weeks, I think that barring any new significant act against America or some unfortunate development in the war against terrorism, that the NAZ should trend up. There is such a large short position in NAZ stocks & we have the FED & JW taking steps to improve the economy while we are seeing apparent success in Afghanistan............. so, any buying pressure will pressure shorts to cover, supporting an up trend.

However, any unusual event could quickly bring back fear & more shorts........... so be vewwwy vewwy careful out there. If you are a serious long tern buy & hold investor, I'd say that now is the time to buy quality companies. They rarely stay on sale very long......... and if the terrorists are going to win.............. well, what difference does it make then?

Real happy for you Scott. Your good news was something to smile about. Hasn't been much of that lately.

Be well,

Tim
