No prob... The Peaceniks tried to claim that it was US imperialism that drove us to invade Grenada and free it from the marxist goverment of Maurice Bishop.. The very manner in which they terrorised anyone who opposed them, as well as the growing Cuban presence there, more than justified it...

But the primary strategic reason was that Grenada would have formed a strategic "triangle" of both sea and air bases from which the Soviets and Cubans could threaten Caribbean sea traffic in the event of a war.

Marxism in the Americas had to be responded to.. and Grenada set the stage for the retreat and neutralization of totalitarian regimes in this hemisphere. Now all that's left is Cuba, but it's pretty much neutered, and one day Castro will die.
