Larry,

The numbers are the same whether semi-log or linear chart. I use semi-log, so the linear regression line actually looks like a broad curve. The calculation is a "least squares" calculation based on monthly closes (in this case).
-edit- Linear regression analysis doesn't require a chart at all, in contrast to many other indicators.

but using plain linear regression on long term chart
is WRONG !........Long term chart should use semilog scale


Do you believe this to be exclusively true with respect to other analysis besides plain linear regression? Please do go into the math at some time.....I would respectfully like to hear your thoughts. TIA
