It won't happen this way. No million guys in the ground will be waiting for you. As a matter of fact it will be the opposite. The Tals forces will soon go "home". The planes will continue to fly above, at leisure, all winter, and do not expect much action on the ground. No reason to hurry. A lot has already been accomplished. More than what the planners had dreamed of. After less than a week, with hardly any forces around Afghanistan, just for protection, the major Tals defenses are destroyed. The Tals know there is no way they could keep the entire country, occupy it. Any convoy that goes out, day or night, is a dead convoy. Any limo is target of opportunity. Donkey are safe though. (you Democrats!) The Tals will hole in, each one to his cute little hole. Along, with wives and kids. Alone as to make you consider the price of the weapon against a shallow mullah, thus many will be saved by capitalism ; and the hope they have that their secret weapons ( bio and others) will make the US, at some point, negotiate.
