Perhaps you should articulate what "very bad public policy" has resulted from Huntington's article, in your opinion, because Said did not.

Thus, to refute Said, I must first set up a straw man by imagining what Said meant by bad public policy, and then attack what I imagine he meant. Then we will have to argue whether what I imagined he meant is what he really meant, and so forth.

So let's cut to the chase. Why don't you tell me what bad public policy you think resulted from Huntington's article, and we can talk about that.
