OOPS. 25-30% maint of margin - not 60%
MM. Need a little help here. Just learned that SSB screwed a relative of mine out of apx 1/3 of his QCOM stock on a
margin issue. Maint of margin is 25 to 30% at SSB on this stock as far as I know. When he exceeded that they claimed it
was an SEC rule that, due to his concentrated position, he had to sell $3 worth of stock for every $1 he was over the
Maint of margin limit. I am wondering if this is a SEC rule or just some SSB rule they sprung on him. Any help from
any direction would be appreciated. I am really pissed to see SSB preying on older foks and, if they are lying, would
like to have a piece of them.
