This guy would use "rocket science" to show that two plus two equals five if it suited his twisted purposes ...

I'm not sure Pete has "twisted purposes." I think that would be giving him far too much credit. Rather I think he has a bad case of paradigm paralysis. In his world AMD is always better than Intel. Anything Intel does is wrong, bad, illegal or otherwise, whereas "scrappy Luke Skywalker AMD" fights the "good fight" against the "evil Empire." His arguments here remind me of those used by the Flat Earthers and Creationists. I.e. they only make sense to someone who doesn't know better, or refuses to know better...

Dear Tench:

You do not need "rocket science"! On positively curved surfaces like a sphere of radius r, a pi*r long vector plus another pi*r long vector equals 0. Go ahead try it!

You live on a nearly perfect sphere (unless you are really "out of this world!" (may be this is where you need rocket science to get back)).

As to 2 plus 2 being five. Just think of a typical family. 2 parents (father and pregnant mother) plus two children equals 5 in less than a year (father, mother, kid one, kid two and a baby). No rocket science needed.
