Juniper, Sonus elevate networkers By Chris Kraeuter, CBS.MarketWatch.com Last Update: 4:44 PM ET Oct. 11, 2001 NEW YORK (CBS.MW) - Juniper Networks reported better than expected financial results and shares jumped on late Thursday along with the rest of the networking sector. Juniper shares rose 22 percent while JDS Uniphase rose 7 percent, Cisco rose 5.8 percent, Ciena stepped up 14 percent and Corvis rose 15 percent. Sonus shares rose 20 percent as the company matched expectations with its quarterly results. The upside moves in the late session follow up a robust rally earlier on Thursday. The Nasdaq Composite finished up 4.6 percent and the Nasdaq 100 popped up 6.5 percent.... marketwatch.com
