You may be right about Sharon. On the other hand, he is one of the few politicians who would be trusted to negotiate a settlement that did not amount to selling out Israel's security. Anyway, I think we are going to have to wait to see what the dynamic is after the main American military thrust into the Middle East this year. Take out Saddam Hussein, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Syrian leadership, perhaps a few others, and Israel will be less hardline, and Arafat will be more eager for a deal.......
