Sorry for the mistake Geoff, as you may have seen in my profile, english isn't my first language <gggg>

1) Point no 1 is a very good point. Time and erosion tend to disperse minerals, not to concentrate them. The only explanation I have for it is that some kind of large mineralized blocks may have been transported during an important and older geological event (earthquake or other major natural disaster, major faulting or even glacial transportation). It then slowly eroded in the last million or hundred thousands of years. This is pure spéculation, but don't forget that East America, North Africa and West Europe were tied together some 150 millions years ago. Now they are thousands of kilometers apart!!!!!!!! This is the kind of «displaced rocks» geological times can generate!!!!!!!!!!

2) Today's topography is the result of the geological processes of the last millions of years. We don't know how it was 50 millions years ago!

3) I don't know how this amount of zinc was calculated. But massive sulphides have a specific gravity over 4.5, which means that to produce 5,000 tonnes of zinc, you need approximately 50,000 tons of massive sulfides (10% Zinc) or about 11,000 cubic metres. This is equivalent to a block of 23mx23mx23m. The size of a small office building.

Let me ask you one question? How do you explain the fact that the geochemical anomalies disappear a few feet below surface?
