The corporate suits with MBAs don't give a rat's ass about workers anymore. They're just a liability.

I think this is sometimes the case. And usually the case that if they care about the workers they care about themselves more. I don't think they are usually viewed as a liability (no workers - no work, no work - no production, no production - no revenue, no revenue - no fat bonus for the execs).

I bet that for 2001, average CEO salaries are considerably lower than it was in 1999. In fact compensation may be coming back to your 65X (journeyman assembly line worker salary) number.

This should make you very happy.
