Arafat was supposed to reign in Hamas and Islamic Jihad, which is why Israel supplied the PLO with weapons and armor.

Arafat instead attacked Israel.


You would think the CIA would have picked up on that instead they the CIA provided arms, training and financing to OBL to fight the Russians.

Having kicked the Russians out of Afgahnsitan, OBL used those arms, training and money against the US.

Israel, in their infinite and flawed wisdom, raised Arafat out of exile in Tunis to lead his people, because they were afraid of Hamas.

Arafat was supposed to reign in Hamas and Islamic Jihad, which is why Israel supplied the PLO with weapons and armor.


We're talking about different time frames. You're talking about the 90's; I'm talking about the 80's.
