First impressions of Douglas book: Just wanted to say, especially since I may have been prematurely placed in the doubters' camp, that I'm only 20 pages into TRADING IN THE ZONE, and am already very grateful that it was recommended here. I think, for instance, that Douglas' insights into the multifaceted role of fear in dysfunctional trading are dead on, and quite useful. His description of the allure of trading as a realm of free self-expression also is something that I've reflected on before, but had never seen put into words.

I still stand by my criticisms of the statements quoted on the thread from his other book, but, until given some reason to believe otherwise, I'll presume that they suffered by lack of context.
