Skip Paul. Are you telling me that the 40% rule SSB imposes for concentrated accounts and the 30% rule fornon-concentrated accounts is a House rule only and that neither SEC nor NASDAQ nor NYSE require anything stricter than a 25% maintenance of margin rule for longs?

Margin rules are "Regulation T" (Federal Reserve Board) rules.

If you start at the FRB's website

federalreserve.gov

looking for info, you will eventually end up with this website :

access.gpo.gov

which is weird and long and boring looking.
