News Corp has been driving the market up. I wrote puts on it and am long the stock. But only 2% of News operating income comes from the Aussie economy as I am just reading here in the Fin Review. Murdoch is down here having meetings with editors and the AGM yesterday in Adelaide and meeting with finance community in Sydney today. But the currency follows gold more or less. It is a puzzle to us Aussies as it is only a given percent of exports and much smaller part of GDP. Coal is our biggest mineral export. Nowadays only about 15% of the ASX capitalization is in resource stocks. David
