Hey... the Mitchell plan has been out there for months now and Arafat has not seen fit to get his people under control to the point where the remaining land disputes can be negotiated...

As far as I'm concerned, I think he handled that question pretty well (watched his press conference last night)..

He put the onus upon Arafat to deal strictly with his own extremists and stated that he would not meet with him unless something of significance was to be settled...

No photo ops... For either country...

But the person I REALLY SALUTE is Rudy Guliani... For returning that $10 million check from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal for trying to suggest that US policy had to be shifted toward being more balanced towards the Palestinians, and trying to falsely insinuate that such policy made us somehow responsible for the attack.

Of course, we know the Arabs just love the Palestinians and worked extra hard to integrate their "brethren" into their societies rather than permitting them to languish in their refugee camps...

But obviously they don't feel much responsibility on their part for creating the conditions in which the Palestinians live.
