Briefing.Com reporting Robertson Stephens expecting EMC shares to be at risk of depreciating 30% due to pricing pressure. RS must have missed the low of 10 and is trying to get the shares back down so they can get their investors in at that level!

Those numbers are useful only to short-term traders. Sell-side analysts are notorious for vacuous peak and trough valuation exercises that add nothing more than market noise and churn.

EMC is scheduled to report next week at which time it is expected to reveal more details about its cost structure adjustments and the current outlook for demand.
