It really runs down the batteries to make its wings flap that fast, though. No, really, I wanted shots without the feeder in the picture, and that meant trying to catch one in mid-hover. My camera has a huge shutter lag (press shutter, one second later it takes a picture (a helper has advised me to upgrade the firmware; it's on the "to do" list)). So timing is difficult, and it took several hours over three afternoons before I got it. Results worth it, but I'll bet I can do better. You'll be among the first to find out if I do, lucky man.
