Put your glasses on, Nigel, and you'll see the fishing line holding up my model hummingbird. It really runs down the batteries to make its wings flap that fast, though.

No, really, I wanted shots without the feeder in the picture, and that meant trying to catch one in mid-hover. My camera has a huge shutter lag (press shutter, one second later it takes a picture (a helper has advised me to upgrade the firmware; it's on the "to do" list)). So timing is difficult, and it took several hours over three afternoons before I got it.

Results worth it, but I'll bet I can do better. You'll be among the first to find out if I do, lucky man.

Getting hummingbirds in my computer was hard enough, but I'm still trying to get RoadRunner in my computer. Awaiting shipment of more memory.
