Dearest M- I wish you would stop making sense. Where might this country go if we all started thinking for once. <Vbg>

Here is a different issue but one that I believe has merit as well. How is it that a School District can disallow the pledge of allegiance because it says "one nation under god" yet take taxpayers money that says "In god we trust?"

A Really EXCELLENT Post M.

I have to agree with you very wholeheartedly.

I'm a little concerned that this country over the next
2 generations could go down the road to Balkanization.

The US could be so fragmented by all of the divergent aims and needs of multiculturalism, that this may be our achilles
heal.

John

of all the evils that happened to me in my childhood, having to say the pledge of allegiance is definitely the least damaging of them all.

Yes, even less damaging than when Barry S beat me up in the 7th grade. Less damaging than when my hamster "Simon" died when one of his teeth grew into his brain, Less damaging than when my turtle got stuck in the pool filter. I know, I know it is hard to believe, but it is true
