Look flappy isn't being totally candid, what he doesn't say but in fact knows deep down is: My brethren and I either aren't smart enough or don't want to make the sacrifice necessary to make the type of money that a CEO makes so we want to steal it from those that have done it so that we can experience the lifestyle they (the CEO's) have enjoyed.

CEO straight salaries also skyrocketed in the '90s. Bonuses tied to price of stock are partly responsible for the present malaise of the S&P 500. CEOs grew the stock price instead of the company. Now shareholders are paying the price.
