I checked their web site and couldn't find anything there. Do you have any knowledge of the basis of the ProRodeo's assertion? No, I don't know. Perhaps they are confusing The Humane Society with PETA. Most of the rodeo horses lead better than average lives, some might even say they are coddled. I know a lot of people who make regular trips to the slaughter yards to buy horses to break and train that would have been shipped for dog food. The Humane Society here puts down dozens of cats and dogs every week. Caging, starving or letting an animal suffer without intervention is cruel. Letting them run and buck in a ring for eight seconds is a job.
