Oh gee. Where did I get the idea you wanted to tax and regulate people out of their cars?

You see where Dubbya opposes the extension of mileage efficiency standards to pickup trucks and SUVs (which now account for more than 40% of the American auto fleet)? The simple change of adding 2 or 3 miles per gallon to the truck fleet (same rules cars have, adjusted for weight) would save as much oil as 10 Anwars.

Of course energy efficiency is not something Big Oil cares about...

Well so what? They are in the business of supplying fuel, not in building machines that use it. If car manufacturers supply a demand for more efficient cars, what can the oil companies do about that?

If you bothered to examine the blather that you posted, you would see how confused you are.

The United States has been the primary guarantor of democracy around the world. That strategic interests sometimes intervene does not diminish that fact. Clinton spent billions trying to build a "democracy" in Haiti, but Haiti is by many indications worse now than when he started his folly.

You want oil but you oppose imports. Next you oppose domestic production. You oppose "Big Oil" but apparently feel that gas arrives immaculately in your gas tank.

I'm sure you oppose nuclear power and probably hydro too. You offer no alternative but pie in the sky "feelings".

The sum is that you make no sense.
