Hello Ann. Wow. We are really lazy on this thread. You finally wrote a cpl of posts and not even I respond in a timely fashion. I still have to send a post to Billwot. His respond to my Condit quip was funny.

Lots of things are still going on since we talked last. Anthrax, Afghanistan and now bridges and you name it.

I just finished watching the World Series. I was happy for Arizona and NY did win the Series quite a few times. But I have to admit I kind of wanted NY to win to give them something to cheer about.
At least they won their football game today which was amazing considering that the Cowboys were up 17 points sev. times.

Yeah. I thought that Redskins joke was pretty good even if I thought that Leno could have picked on another team. The Cowboys for instance. They had not won a game at that time either. Well the Redskins won 3 games in a row. That gave me something to cheer about. I have not heard Leno mention it, but then I have not watched him in a while. gg. I just see it sometimes when channel surfing.
You know that email you sent me? It was just great and then I saw it on Fox 5 about a week later. And now they have some little funny things on quite frequently. Have you watched Fox at times and seen some of those things? And your other jokes were funny also.

I thought with no messages on and it being Sunday today that a message like this was alright. gg.

But maybe I should mention that the market has not been too bad considering. It could have been worse. Pretty volatile. I am just hanging in there. That's about it.

Intel is being touted all over the place. So maybe some of our techs will move again nicely some day.

I am leaving for Fla next weekend. I will try to put another post on before leaving. Maybe tomorrow will be a great day in the market. There is talk by even conservative analysts that the NAZ could go back to 2400 and the DOW to about 10500 in the next up move. I guess we will see. Things don't look too rosy right now but maybe we will get another rate cut this week of at least 1/2 point. And some of those tech stocks do look interesting right now. EMC and Csco should be going up again one of these days. I am tempted but am not ready to jump on them. Still a little too nervous. And who knows what tomorrow or the next day etc. etc. will bring.

Sorry for having waited so long again before answering.

The futures are up a tiny little bit so maybe we will not have another bad Monday like last week. Hm.

Sonny

Good. There is some more time left to post this.http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/20011104/bs/economy_fed_dc_1.html

Hello Ann and all.

That was pretty close on this interest rate cut. I had looked for a 1/2 point rate cut but then there was this ongoing talk after lunch that we may only get 1/4 point. Now we can be on our way to 1 or 1 1/2 point interest rates. This could mean a comeback sometime middle of next year if nothing else happens.

The market buys about 9 mos. ahead of time. So, maybe now is the time to look for something? Too bad I was too nervous yesterday to buy some Csco and EMC.

Intel is up again today. AOL seems to be getting some good coverage with those upcoming Potter movies etc. I had sold some to get out of my margin. Maybe it's time to buy some back. Anybody have some thoughts on that?

Hm. If I had a crystal ball, Aventis was the way to go. I guess some of the Pharmas should be more on our lists again.

Ann, I will send you a PM about a neat joke I heard last night on Jay Leno. Yes, I watched his opening stuff. He does have some good materials at times. gg.

The war effort seems to be going alright and people are a little less scared about Anthrax etc. Maybe the markets have a chance to go up a little bit. Yesterday was great.

How about this HWP/CPQ deal? CPQ family holders seem to be nixing this deal. Hm. Nice move in HWP after this news.

The DOW and NAS are now both green.

Sonny

Oh, what the heck. I put the joke on here.

Leno said last night:

Did anyone see Hillary Clinton today? I saw her with this big mask on her face and rubber gloves on her hands.
I was not quite sure if she was getting ready to open the mail or have sex with Bill.

Ann. Just in case you read my message before I added the joke. It's on my prev. post.

Hm. The DOW was not in the green for very long. Hopefully it gets better later on. But then there is always tomorrow.
