The simple fact is that they are lying to us, or at least downplaying the most real possibility. Geeze, when the first Fla anthrax case broke they tried to tell us he was an outdoorsman and could have caught in while hunting. Nobody at all with half a brain believed them but they persisted for days. It's insulting to the public and it does not serve the purpose they think it does -- hiding the truth will only result in more panic.
