>>SUV's ARE A BAIN on the environment..<<

How so? They don't do any extraordinary damage. Nice statement but just because you say it, doesn't make it true.

>>their ability to wipe out smaller cars << Yep, like the guy driving one 2 weeks ago in Denver that was killed when a kid ran a red light in his car. Just because you say it doesn't make it true.

>>as well as polluting the air of the kids that ride in them << Yeah we all know that the kids riding in their HUGO's aren't polluting at all.

>>They are now CARS....and should be under the SAME requirements as all other AUTOS...back in the early 70's when the regulations were written to help out real pickup trucks used by farmers and ranchers and contruction.<<

Just shows what a farce the COLA regulations are. Pop Quiz Chrissy: What pollutes more? An SUV that get 18 MPG and travels 180 miles or a fuel efficient vehicle that get 32 MPH and travels 320 miles? I tried to make the math easy 'cause I see that you're not real bright.

Oh, by the way do the skirts you wear stop above or below the knee?

CC, I don't know what rock you live under, but in the many states I have visited in my Jeep Grand Cherokee, SUVs are treated as autos, and are subject to the same emissions testings as Yugos, and all the other little bugs on the road.
