No, by Jewish Law, she has accepted another faith, (although not really IMHO)

Allow me ask you one?

Is atheism considered another faith?

The Moslem religion, like the Christian, has no ethnic component or foundation. Unlike Christianity and Islam, rabbinical authorities claim that Judaism is both a religion and an ethnic group. The Hassidics and the fundamentalist Orthodox Jews magnify the genetic component of Judaism.

If a Jew converts to Christianity, he doesn't loose his genes, he simply accepts Christ as the Messiah. Jews are admitted as citizens in Israel based upon whether or not their mothers were genetic Jews. Judaism is both a religion and a "race". Although its true that the racial aspects of Judaism are mostly mythical in the twentieth century, the rabbis still claim this dubious component. The majority of Jews in Israel are atheists and agnostics, but they are still Jews.
