OT - recent events Does it strike anyone as ... well ... weird - that the more hysterical media outlets have apparently been targeted for biowar? First the biggest tabloid publisher, then the network which aired a doom 'n gloom biowar segment last week? Is this an attempt to generate a panicked stampede? Suddenly, as the reporters begin to realize their choice of profession could be fatal (all are, to some degree, but we block it out), can we expect a degree of literary response? As the old joke goes, a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged ... I wonder what erudition will evolve from a liberal press whose collective lives appear unexpectedly at risk? Note - a number of assumptions and conclusions support my speculation above, any of which could be badly wrong. The evidence is nowhere complete enough to prove that parties unknown are engaging in biowarfare, with media outlets as targets. Treat this as more in the realm of a wild-ass-guess than documented fact. It just looked like a possible pattern to me. - Mitch
