I think a "global recession" of some sort is a given. The issue is when and how we get to "global recovery". There are obviously things that can get in the way. For the moment, the stock market is celebrating "global recovery". As they say, we are "climbing a wall of worry". This is, however, easier to accomplish when you do not have somebody shooting you in the back as you try to climb the wall.

Unfortunately, economist.com left out the Nasdaq.
It would have been #2 or #3 on that chart!!!
